Early Childhood Education

At Hunter we believe children have the inherent capacity to learn and grow in environments that foster creative thinking. Hunter’s undergraduate Early Childhood Education program will prepare you to create caring, enriching educational experiences for children from birth to age eight. You will develop the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills to support children across diverse cultures, abilities, settings, ages, and urban contexts. Through field observation and student teaching, you will collaborate with faculty, peers and families, to plan, implement and evaluate interventions that fit the needs of individual children.
